This evergreen Geordie comedian is back at the Fringe doing a brand-new hour of sardonic jokes, dark observations, surreal one liners and epic grandiose yet simultaneously dumbed down set pieces.
Gav is product of his time, a kid in the chaotic but colourful 70s, a YTS survivor cynically exploited to avoid being a dole statistic in the Thatcherite 80s, he began doing comedy in the early 90s and, like many from this blank generation, had no template to learn from or indeed nothing to lose.
