Every month at The Stand Newcastle, Neil Harris and a panel of academic comedians take a deep dive into the strangest, silliest, and most spectacular sides of science – all with the help of some questionable PowerPoint slides.

With regulars Kelly Edgar, Matthew Wheelwright, Luke Connell , and Elaine Robertson, plus a special guest expert each month, no two shows are the same. Each event is built around a new theme, packed with big laughs, surprising facts, and the occasional scientific mishap—because science is funnier than it has any right to be.

We have a group booking policy- for groups larger than 6 people please enquire with our Box Office at [email protected] before booking so that we can check that our venue management team is able to accommodate your group. When you get in touch, please include the show that you're interested in, your group size and a little info about the nature of your group.
