A rare opportunity to see Michael Cumming’s cult film Oxide Ghosts, which will only ever be screened at these live events.

Q&A hosted by writer & podcaster Andy Dawson (Athletico Mince

Made from hundreds of hours of unseen and behind the scenes footage from his personal archive, Oxide Ghosts shares insights into the process of making the legendary TV series Brass Eye. Michael directed the series and pilots and, over a two-year period, witnessed the highs and lows from a very personal perspective. The film carries the blessing of Chris Morris and provides a unique glimpse of his extraordinary working practices.

At these special shows, in his introductions and post film Q&As, Michael both builds and shatters Brass Eye myths.

This event is a must for fans of the series but will appeal to anyone with a curiosity about how great comedy is made.

Michael Cumming is a director & filmmaker whose back catalogue - aside from Brass Eye - contains such gems as The Mark Thomas ProductSnuff BoxMark Steel LecturesLucas & Walliams in Rock Profile, Matt Berry’s BAFTA winning sitcom, Toast Of London and its follow up, Toast Of Tinseltown and, with Stewart Lee, the critically acclaimed, break-out music film of 2021, King Rocker.

‘Oxide Ghosts offers a well-judged and very rare insight into Brass Eye’s making, encapsulating the fun and covert excitement that went on while the project was still under wraps, before all the legal wrangling kicked in. If you're an admirer of the show and the opportunity should arise for you to see Oxide Ghosts, have some self re-cocking-spect and do so without hesitation' – Andy Murray, Chortle

‘In honour of the Brass Eye birthday there have been tributes published and repeats scheduled, but the surprise popularity of an almost unpublicised touring event, called Oxide Ghosts: The Brass Eye Tapes, perhaps says even more about the enduring influence of the show. Oxide Ghosts has been quietly selling out in independent cinemas across the land’ – Vanessa Thorpe, The Guardian
