We’re pleased to announce that in line with a new deal struck voluntarily with Unite, pay rates for our lowest paid staff will increase by 13.6% from 1st March 2024. This sets a new precedent for hospitality in Scotland and follows our recent voluntary recognition agreement with Unite, the first of its kind in the sector.
We pride ourselves on our fair contracts which, since 2019, have guaranteed at least the Real Living Wage for all members of staff, as well as regular breaks, paid trial shifts, transport home after midnight, no zero-hour contracts and 100% of tips.
The Stand has always been a pro-union employer and we are proud to be able to collaborate with Unite on industry leading practices, like pay-rises that exceed the living wage increase.
At the core of this agreement is a commitment to pay our lowest paid members of staff a minimum of £12.50 per hour – 50p per hour more than the Real Living Wage and more than £1 per hour higher than the minimum wage. This is an investment in our staff who contribute so much to the success of the company.
