Guests and comps are NOT permitted to come backstage.
The Stand will endeavour to keep the backstage area and green room clean and tidy. If you have any issues regarding this, please tell a member of staff and they will notify the duty manager.

Late Night Safety
At the point of booking in with us, we ask that you let us know of any transportation concerns you may have. You can ask the club booker for travel advice to and from the venue.
We want to make sure everyone has a safe way to get home. If this means leaving a show early, we completely understand – we just ask that you let us know in advance so we can accommodate this in the running orders.
If you are performing and find that an issue arises whilst at the gig which may affect you getting home, you can speak to one of the venue staff for assistance and we will try to help where possible.
If you find that your mobile phone runs out of battery whilst at the Stand, please ask a member of staff at the bar and we will try to charge this for you where possible.
Where acts are organising car shares to and from gigs, the Stand can help put these acts in touch with one another if these acts consent. Beyond this, we cannot facilitate the car share and expect you to organise this yourself safely.

We also prohibit wilful discrimination based on but not limited to sex, race, colour, ethnic or national origin, disability, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, religion or belief, caring responsibilities, pregnancy, marital status, and trade union membership at the workplace.
Harassment can be physical, verbal, and/or emotional and can include bullying, intimidation, direct insults, malicious gossip and victimization. At the Stand, we consider that harassment can come and be directed to members of staff, other acts, and to our customers. It is important to remember that your behaviours might affect someone in ways you have not anticipated.
We will not tolerate sexual harassment in our workplace in any shape or form. Our culture is based on mutual respect and collaboration. Sexual harassment is a serious violation of those principles.
Sexual harassment can take on many forms, including but not limited to:
- Insinuating, proposing, or demanding sexual favours of any kind.
- Invading another person’s personal space (e.g. inappropriate touching.)
- Stalking, intimidating, coercing, or threatening another person to get them to engage in sexual acts.
- Sending or displaying sexually explicit objects, photographs or messages.
- Commenting on someone’s looks, dress, sexuality or gender in a derogatory or objectifying manner or a manner that makes them uncomfortable.
- Making obscene comments, jokes or gestures that humiliate or offend someone.
- Pursuing or flirting with another person persistently without the other person’s willing participation or after they have asked you to stop.
We believe that no harassment of any kind is ‘too minor’ to be dealt with. We will assume every harassment claim is legitimate unless proven otherwise.
If you are being harassed or discriminated against, suspect someone else is being harassed or discriminated against, or need to talk about concerns of harassment or discrimination, you can email [email protected]. If this is not available to you, you can also email [email protected]. If your concern requires immediate attention, you can speak the venue duty manager on shift.
If a harasser becomes potentially dangerous whilst you are in our venue, we ask that you call the police or ask the duty manager to do so. Our company will also involve the police if a harasser stalks, assaults or verbally/ physically threatens one of our employees.
If harassment continues after any intervention The Stand makes or if an act or contractor ignores our report, we will dissolve our contract with this act or contractor.
If you want to discuss any of the above, please get in touch with the person booking you in.
