Best Scottish Newcomer Nominee and Funny Women Runner Up Susan Riddell presents a preview of her debut show for this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Championing laziness in an increasingly manic world, Susan would much prefer a duvet day than a wedding day. If life itself makes you want to hide under the blankets, join Susan as she ponders marriage, relationships, growing up, and why pyjamas are always a sensible outfit choice.
The rising star’s astute observations and sparkling wit have already been highlighted as a Must Watch Show at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival (The Scotsman). After winning a place in BBC Writer’s Room Fast and Funny, Susan has gone on to be widely regarded as one of the rising stars of Scottish comedy. With regular appearances on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking the News and The Comedy Underground as well as the BBC sketch show The State of It. Susan wrote, created and starred in several on-line comedy sketches for BBC Short Stuff which have garnered nearly 3 million views and counting. Other writing credits and acting roles include Channel 4 and BBC One’s spoof cop show Scot Squad, while she is currently working on a sitcom pilot with the BBC.
Susan recently performed stand up at the Edinburgh Fringe in both CKP’s Lunchtime Special and the BBC Presents Comedy Tent. She was also a regular contributor with a humorous weekly column for The Daily Record newspaper.

Postage is available to select for an additional £2 per transaction and tickets are sent as standard delivery, 2nd class. Postage is available for UK delivery only. Tickets can also be selected to be collected at one of our box offices free of charge.
Some productions will not allow postage and tickets will be available to collect at the venue door with valid proof of ID. Please check your booking confirmation and ticket reminders.
Once a delivery or collection method is selected, it cannot be changed.
Tickets for the majority of our shows can be collected at the venue door upon entry however we would still advise arriving a little in advance of our door opening time. This allows you to join a queue as all venues are general admission and a mixture of seating and standing room. For Edinburgh Fringe dates during August, we advise you arrive at least 30 minutes before doors open for your selected shows to collect your festival tickets. This allows you to join a queue as all venues are general admission. All venues are seated apart from Stand 1 which is seating and standing room.
A concession rate ticket applies to 60+, Students, unemployed, benefit recipients with proof of ID upon collection.
Guaranteed refunds must be requested 24 hours before the doors opening time by contacting our box office on 0131 558 9005 during office hours or by emailing email@example.com. Refund requests after this stage are at the discretion of the company and promoters however we will always try to help our customers if we have the opportunity to sell the tickets on. Accepted refunds will be made for the ticket sale amount and will not include booking or postage fees unless there is company fault.

Carers go free in our venues, so best to make your booking with us by phone or in person. Please book in advance for these tickets as we have limited access bookings per venue and show due to listed buildings fire regulations.
